Jimena Giletta has earned her World Archery Level 2 coaching certification following a five-day intensive course in Rosario, Santa Fe, helping develop archery in central Argentina.
Intensive Continental Training in Santa Fe
The coaching certification program ran from September 27 to October 1, 2026, drawing coaches from various Spanish-speaking countries across the continent, including Chile, Venezuela, and El Salvador. The curriculum blended theoretical instruction with practical sessions, focusing on advanced technique, equipment tuning, biomechanics, training planning, technical process analysis, and sports psychology applied to archery.
Santiago Avitia Martínez, a Mexican coach and accredited World Archery coach trainer with extensive international experience, led the educational modules. The training took place under the umbrella of the Olympic Solidarity program, with institutional backing from the Argentine Olympic Committee, World Archery, World Archery Americas, and the Argentine Archery Federation (FATARCO).
Rigorous Selection Process for Limited Placements
Admission to the Level 2 course required meeting strict professional criteria. Due to the limited availability of slots and her professional background, Giletta was selected as one of only three coaches chosen from the entire Province of Córdoba. One of those three selectees already serves on the national team's technical staff. Giletta was one of only two women nationwide to secure a place in the program.
Application at the Piamontese Archery School
Alongside her competitive training, Giletta coaches athletes at the archery school operating within the Asociación Civil Familia Piamontesa. The newly acquired continental credentials provide advanced methodologies and technical frameworks that she will integrate directly into the daily development of archers in San Francisco.
