Hareskov Badminton Sets November 28 Christmas Event

Hareskov Badminton will host its traditional Christmas event, combining tournament play and a social gathering, on November 28, 2026, with organizers setting a registration deadline of November 14, 2026, Holdsport reported.

Hareskov Badminton Christmas Tournament Schedule and Costume Contests

The afternoon event opens at 3:00 PM local time on November 28 with a tournament designed for speed, humor, and holiday themes. Organizers encourage participants to wear holiday costumes, ranging from Santa hats and Christmas sweaters to reindeer antlers and full Santa Claus outfits. Play runs until approximately 5:00 PM, featuring prizes awarded both to tournament winners and to the player judged to have the most festive outfit.

A transition period runs from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, allowing participants to use the sauna, purchase drinks in the cafeteria, or remain on the courts for casual play. The evening program transitions at 6:30 PM to a catered Christmas dinner accompanied by a welcome drink, coffee, tea, chocolate, and snacks. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available for purchase in the bar.

Gift Exchange Rules and Volunteer Assignments

The evening features a traditional package game requiring participants to bring one wrapped gift valued between 30 and 50 Danish kroner. The activity is planned without badminton equipment, focusing instead on tactical pacing and lighthearted trading.

To manage the event schedule, the club’s fest and tournament committee—comprising Stine, Malene, Jan, and Peter—has asked participants to select a specific volunteer duty during registration. Available assignments include supporting the tournament, setting up decorations at 2:00 PM on Saturday, managing entertainment such as the package game, or assisting with cleanup operations on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

Registration Fees and Holdsport Sign-Up Deadlines

Registration is managed through the Holdsport platform. While entry to the Christmas tournament is free, participation in the evening party costs 225 Danish kroner plus a 5-krone administrative fee. Attendees registering spouses or partners must submit separate payments and note the guest’s name in the platform chat alongside their chosen volunteer duty. The final deadline for all sign-ups is November 14, 2026.
