Gualeguaychú FATARCO archery tournament sees multiple local podium finishes

Gualeguaychú retained its place on the national archery circuit on September 27 as sudden weather disruptions forced temporary halts during the Torneo Homologatorio, local reports show. Organized under the auspices of the Argentine Archery Federation, known as FATARCO, the competition brought together archers across multiple age divisions and bow categories for the second year.

Weather Disrupts Shooting but FATARCO Confirms Homologation

Competition began as scheduled on Sunday, but deteriorating weather conditions quickly complicated the outdoor shooting rounds. Organizers paused events temporarily. Despite the disruptions, FATARCO officials confirmed the tournament met all regulatory standards required for official homologation, recording valid scores across every contested distance and division.

Compound and Recurvo Podium Finishes

Competitors secured numerous medals across the senior and youth divisions once shooting resumed. Carlos Della Penna claimed the silver medal in Compuesto Masculino while also taking first place in the Compuesto Masculino Sub-18 category. In Raso Masculino, Alejandro Della Penna earned the gold medal, and Facundo Donoso secured the bronze. Adrián Gómez added a silver medal in Recurvo Escuela at 50 meters.
