FFTA Opens Applications for 2026-2028 Equipment Fund for Archery Clubs

French archery clubs seeking to upgrade their training facilities can now apply for infrastructure investment through the newly detailed Fonds Équipements for the 2026 through 2028 cycles, the French Archery Federation (FFTA) reported. The funding initiative aims to expand indoor and outdoor venues across the country, improving training conditions and year-round accessibility for athletes of all skill levels.

Targeted Infrastructure Projects

The grant program focuses on specific capital improvements designed to modernize club operations and elevate athlete development. Eligible projects include the construction or renovation of covered, enclosed, heated, and well-lit shelters built specifically for archery practice. Clubs may also apply for financial assistance to build or upgrade sanitary facilities, with a strong emphasis on accessibility for athletes with disabilities.

Additional funding categories cover dedicated storage structures for targets, club gear, and heavy equipment, alongside the creation or conversion of dedicated indoor archery halls. By broadening these capabilities, the FFTA intends to help local organizations retain members through improved service quality and consistent training environments.

FFTA Funding Applications Close in October and February

The FFTA structured the multi-year funding rollout around distinct submission windows. Applications for the initial review period close at the end of October 2026, with a commission scheduled to evaluate proposals in November 2026. A second submission window closes at the end of February 2027, followed by a review commission in March 2027. The federation confirmed that this exact biannual schedule will be fully reconducted for the 2028 calendar year.

FFTA Encourages Early Consultation for Venue Upgrades

To streamline the administrative workload for local organizers, the FFTA strongly encourages project leaders to contact the federation’s Development Service during the early conceptual phases of their plans. This initial consultation verifies that a proposed venue upgrade aligns with the strict criteria of the Fonds Équipements while directing clubs toward the most appropriate financial mechanism.

Once initial contact is established, applicants must compile a comprehensive dossier detailing their investment needs. The federation then conducts an internal analysis and instruction phase before issuing formal aid attribution and disbursement to successful clubs.
