Lexar branding will soon appear across FC Barcelona’s institutional assets under a multi-year sponsorship contract approved by the club’s board of directors.
Board approval for Lexar and Canon Medical
The board greenlit the agreement with the digital storage brand, which operates under the Longsys group. At the same time, directors formalized a renewal with Canon Medical.
That renewed partnership guarantees that diagnostic machinery—including magnetic resonance imaging units—will be supplied directly to the club’s Ciudad Deportiva training complex. In exchange, Canon Medical receives designated promotional visibility across institutional assets.
Financial recovery and the Masia budget
These commercial steps followed an administrative gathering that was originally scheduled for the Arquebisbat de Tarragona before transport disruptions intervened. During the meeting, club officials reviewed financial performance through the end of September.
Official statements pointed to broad-based commercial growth across ticketing, merchandising, museum admissions, and sponsorships. That momentum was further bolstered by an accounting provision reversal following a favorable tax resolution with Spain’s Treasury department.
Capital project plans also cleared the board. A 5 million euro budget was allocated to begin renovations this season on the historic Masia de Can Planes, which is slated to become the club’s permanent headquarters.
Contrasting fortunes in the Chinese market
While Barcelona expands its commercial footprint in Asia, domestic rival Real Madrid faces severe disruptions in the same region.
Controversial public remarks by forward Kylian Mbappé regarding historical figures triggered a diplomatic dispute. Chinese state broadcasters and platforms suspended LaLiga match transmissions featuring the French forward, resulting in canceled commercial contracts valued at upwards of 6 million euros for the player.
While Madrid deals with the fallout, Barcelona continues leveraging its extensive supporter base in China to secure new revenue streams.
Social census and departmental restructuring
Club membership figures registered notable growth alongside these commercial updates. Total participants rose to 157,337 members, up from the 154,468 recorded at the close of September—marking an increase of 2,869 registered participants.

Institutional leadership adjustments accompanied the shift. Vice president Maria Elena Fort assumed direct oversight of the club’s non-professional sports sections.
