Eli Manning says he wants nephew Arch Manning to join the Jets

Retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning revealed on Barstool’s “Pardon My Take” podcast that he wouldn’t mind if he went to the Jets regarding where his nephew, Arch Manning, should land in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Eli Manning Shares His “Selfish” Hopes for the New York Jets

Eli Manning spent his entire career playing for the New York Giants and won two Super Bowls, but he did not pick his former team for his nephew. Instead, the former quarterback stated on the podcast:

For purely selfish reasons, I wouldn’t mind if he went to the Jets, just because I live right there, I could go to games, I could have dinner with him during the week a little bit. I think it’d be great for him to have some family nearby, so I wouldn’t mind him going to the Jets, being up in New York…that’s just my selfish reasons and I think he could help them.

Arch Manning is currently projected to be an early day one pick and a high selection should he declare for April’s draft. The New York Jets hold three first-round draft picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, giving them the draft capital to potentially move to the top of the selection board. However, Arch has not officially declared at this time.

Eli Manning Supports Nephew Arch Ahead of Texas Game

Both of Arch’s uncles, Eli and Peyton Manning, were selected first overall in their respective drafts. Eli noted that he tries not to be overbearing, stating, If there’s advice he’s looking for, he knows I’m a text away or a call away.

Ahead of any official draft decisions, Eli also addressed upcoming collegiate loyalties regarding a game between his alma mater, Ole Miss, and Arch’s Texas team scheduled for October 24 in Austin. You root for family, Eli said. I’m gonna root for my nephew to win every single game that he plays in, and that’s just the way it is.
