Daniela Martínez secured a 20th-place finish for the Argentine national team at the 3D Archery World Championships in Yankton, United States, competing in the Barebow Women Senior division against entrants from 16 nations, according to regional sports reports. Representing Club Petroquímica, Martínez advanced through the opening qualification rounds and into the elimination brackets before concluding her run in the international tournament.
The competition brought together 3D archers from across the globe to the Yankton venue, where Martínez managed varying scores across consecutive days of outdoor target rounds. Her performance marked the second time in history that an archer from Club Petroquímica reached the world championship stage, following Gabriel Rivas’s appearance at the 2023 tournament in Slovenia.
Opening Qualification Rounds in Yankton
Martínez opened her world championship campaign on the first day of the tournament by posting a score of 406 points, a total that placed her 12th in the standings among the 16-nation field. On the second day of qualification, she added 346 points to her tally, bringing her two-day cumulative score to 752 points. That total earned her the 18th position in the overall general classification and secured her advancement into the elimination phases of the Barebow Women Senior category.

The third day of the event transitioned into head-to-head bracket matches. In the 1/12 finals, Martínez faced American archer Ava Jones in a tightly contested match that ended with a narrow 100 to 99 scoreline in favor of Jones. That single-point defeat finalized Martínez’s standing at 20th overall in the international field.
Sharing the Course with the World Number One
A notable highlight of the Yankton event for Martínez was the opportunity to share a shooting group—known as a patrol—with Cinzia Noziglia of Italy. Noziglia holds the number one ranking in the world within the category, giving the Argentine competitor a firsthand look at the techniques and routines of the sport’s international benchmark.
Back home, Club Petroquímica highlighted Martínez’s dedication and effort throughout the championship cycle. The organization expressed gratitude to Comodoro Deportes and local institutions whose support made the journey to the United States and participation under the Argentine banner possible.
Next Competition Scheduled in Trelew
While Martínez completed her international assignment in the United States, competitive activity for Club Petroquímica shifts immediately back to domestic soil. A delegation of nine club archers is traveling to Trelew for a double-date event featuring the 3D Honor League and a homologation tournament.
Hosted by Arqueros del VIRCh at the Autódromo Mar y Valle, the regional fixture serves as a key preparation checkpoint. Petroquímica’s roster across various divisions includes Ariel Rivas and Gonzalo Santa María in Olympic Recurvo; Gabriel Rivas, Miguel Prat, and Juan Carlos “Chimy” Rodríguez in Traditional Senior; Luciano Mena and Guillermo Bratovich in Compound WA; and Víctor Rodríguez and Eugenio Vdovitchenko in Barebow Men Senior.
The weekend races in Trelew provide the club’s athletes with crucial competitive reps ahead of the National 3D Final, which is scheduled to take place on October 31 in La Plata.
