Cooper Flagg and New Balance Unveil Official Signature Logo in Macao

The logo design represents me. It connects to my name, but also to my roots, which is something that was really important to me, Cooper Flagg said when unveiling his new signature emblem.

The launch coincides with the Mavericks visiting Macao to participate in the NBA China Games 2026, putting the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year on a prominent international stage.

Pine Tree Details Reflect Flagg's Maine Roots

The newly unveiled emblem blends clean geometric lines with distinct arboreal details. On either side of the rigid “CF” monogram, delicate pine tree cutouts trace the edges. According to Flagg, those botanical elements serve a deliberate purpose rooted in his upbringing. Where I’m from, there are a lot of trees, so you’ll see the pine tree cutouts on the side as a reminder of staying true to who I am and where I grew up. I wanted to include hints of Maine while keeping the design clean and something that feels like me, he explained.

SneakerNews noted that the Boston-based brand is using his star power following an ongoing "We Got Now" marketing push and his debut of the New Balance 950 during a rookie tunnel walk.

Building on a Rapidly Expanding Partnership With New Balance

The logo release marks the latest milestone in a partnership that began in August 2024, when Flagg signed an NIL deal that later transitioned into a full-scale sneaker contract ahead of his freshman season at Duke. After the Mavericks selected him with the first overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, New Balance immediately released a player-exclusive colorway of the Hesi Low v2 X that featured subtle green accents and organic details nodding to Maine’s natural landscape.

Sports Illustrated reported that with Tyrese Maxey’s first signature shoe having recently launched, Flagg stands next in line for his own dedicated signature sneaker line. The partnership places him alongside established NBA roster staples like Kawhi Leonard and Maxey.

Preseason Action in Asia Ahead of the 2026-27 Campaign

The logo presentation anchors the Mavericks’ arrival in Macao for their upcoming preseason matchups. Dallas and the Houston Rockets are set to tip off their preseason schedule in the NBA China Game, giving international audiences their first live look at the sophomore sensation following a stellar rookie campaign.

With an overhauled front office, a roster transition following the Anthony Davis trade, and its future anchored squarely on Flagg, Dallas enters the 2026-27 schedule aiming to build on its young core. New Balance, meanwhile, continues to expand its footprint in basketball by tying its premier young talent directly to his home state origins.
