Compagnia Aurora Piacenza Archers Win Multiple Medals in Lodi and Travo Competitions

The archers of Compagnia Aurora of Piacenza secured a heavy haul of medals across two regional competitions held days apart, opening with podium finishes in Lodi before tackling the woodland course at Travo, IlPiacenza reported.

Regional success at Lodi for Compagnia Aurora

At the opening tournament hosted by the archers of Lodi, Erika Prian led the delegation by claiming first place in the women’s Olympic bow division. Manuela Bonardi added to the tally with a second-place finish in the women’s barebow category. In the team events, the men’s barebow squad—comprising Ivan Marescalchi, Marcello Pane, and Marcello Contardi—matched their teammates by taking first place.

Navigating the woodland targets at Travo

Days after the Lodi event, the club led by president Roberto Fava traveled to Travo for the Freccia Nera competition. The outdoor tournament challenged competitors on a wooded course featuring animal silhouettes of varying sizes placed at unknown distances. Compagnia Aurora capitalized on the technical terrain to sweep multiple divisions.

Podium finishes in the men’s and women’s divisions

In the men’s Olympic bow event, Domenico Pascale took first place, followed by Gianni Cavaglieri in second and Francesco Saracone in third. The women’s Olympic bow podium mirrored the club’s earlier success in Lodi, with Erika Prian securing first, Elisa Janik taking second, and Alice Fuochi finishing third. Lorella Bisi claimed the top spot in the women’s barebow class, while Paolo Trivini placed second and Nicola Savio third in the men’s barebow division. Christian Scaglioni rounded out the club’s podium results with a second-place finish in the men’s compound competition.
