Club de Tenis Pítamo Hosts AS Young Tour SLAM 2026

Club de Tenis Pítamo will host the antepenultimate leg of the AS Young Tour SLAM from October 12–18, 2026, welcoming youth tennis competitors to Dos Hermanas in Seville. The event serves as one of the final qualifying stops before the circuit’s Masters Final in Yecla, bringing together junior players from across the region for a week of competitive play.

Tournament Organization Returns to Dos Hermanas

The upcoming tournament marks another year of collaboration between the AS Young Tour SLAM and the Seville-based club. Tournament director Marcos Cueto noted that hosting a national-level competition is a significant milestone for the venue, which was founded in 1941 and maintains a long-standing commitment to grassroots tennis development.

“Para el Club de Tenis Pítamo es un verdadero orgullo formar parte de un circuito como el AS Young Tour SLAM,” Cueto stated regarding the club’s historical ties to youth athletics and player formation. He added that the competition offers a vital platform to showcase the club’s facilities and support the broader progression of junior athletics in Spain.

School Evolution and Facility Infrastructure

The tournament arrives amid sustained growth within the club’s training academy, which now incorporates competitive programs, early-childhood instruction, and social tennis initiatives across all age groups. Academy leadership attributes this expansion to the venue’s infrastructure, which features fourteen red-clay tennis courts (pistas de albero) designed to accommodate high-volume tournament schedules and daily coaching operations.

According to organizing staff, the primary objective for participating youngsters extends beyond podium finishes. Officials emphasized that the competitive environment is structured to help athletes navigate match pressure, develop sportsmanship, and gain valuable experience alongside peers visiting from other regions.

Path to the Yecla Masters Final

The Dos Hermanas competition functions as a crucial stepping stone within the broader AS Young Tour SLAM calendar. Following the conclusion of the October event at Club de Tenis Pítamo, the circuit advances toward its concluding Masters Final in Yecla, where top-performing qualifiers from each age category will compete for the season’s ultimate titles.
