Chivilcoy Delegation Handed Official Team Kits for Juegos Bonaerenses

Local authorities in Chivilcoy handed out official team kits on Thursday at the Racing Club to athletes representing the city in the upcoming Mar del Plata finals of the Juegos Bonaerenses. Guillermo Britos led the ceremony alongside cabinet members, equipping competitors across youth and senior divisions ahead of the multi-sport provincial showcase running from October 19 to 23.

Delegation Prepares for Departure to Mar del Plata

With the kit presentation concluded, the Chivilcoy delegation is finalizing travel arrangements to the coastal city. Competitors will step into competition across an extensive lineup of sports and cultural disciplines designed for both youth and adult participants.

The event spans nearly a week of intense statewide competition, bringing together municipal qualifiers from across the Buenos Aires province to test their skills in established venues.

Youth and Senior Division Disciplines

Youth athletes carry Chivilcoy’s colors into track and field, disability athletics and racing, disability relay events, badminton, 3×3 and 5×5 basketball across various age brackets, boccia, disability football, foot-tennis, artistic gymnastics, handball, swimming, skating, and table tennis—including both conventional and disability categories. Additional youth entries cover shooting, disability malambo, disability theater-dance, and visual arts.

Meanwhile, the senior division (Adultos Mayores) features competitors in men’s and women’s racing, men’s and intergenerational bocce, escoba card games, toad-in-the-hole (sapo), taba bone- tossing, men’s tennis, mixed and intergenerational tejo, and literature events.

Municipal Investment in Regional Sport

Addressing the athletes and families gathered at the clubhouse, Mayor Britos emphasized the broader philosophy behind municipal backing for the games.

Everything invested in sport, in culture, in people with disabilities, and in senior adults is the best investment any municipality can make, Britos said during the ceremony.

The provincial finals get underway in Mar del Plata on October 19, marking the culmination of months of regional qualifying rounds across the province.
