Changsha opens Tianxin sports and Culture center

Changsha opened a 45,800-square-meter regional sports and cultural hub in its provincial government district on Oct. 15, introducing a sprawling all-age facility designed for community recreation and athletic training. Located at 129 Guihuaping Road, the newly unveiled Changsha Tianxin Sports and Culture Center sits adjacent to Qingyuan Zifeng Primary School and the south campus of Zhongya Peicui Middle School, occupying a 76-mu site operated jointly by Tianxin Urban Development Group and Hunan Bosen Sports Management Co., Ltd.

Opening of the Provincial District Hub

The Oct. 15 unveiling ceremony officially launched the Tianxin Sports and Culture Center alongside the Tianxin District Cadre (Senior) University and the Tianxin District Cadre Activity Center. The complex operates under an “one hall, one track, three centers” architectural and operational layout. The main indoor indoor gymnasium is divided into two distinct blocks. Block A houses professional sporting spaces including a heated indoor swimming pool, basketball courts, and badminton courts, alongside brand flagship retail spaces. Block B focuses on education and fitness, featuring spaces for youth academic and non-academic training, adult continuing education, fitness centers, and light commercial retail.

Phased Facility Rollout and Construction Progress

Trial operations for the indoor gymnasium complex are scheduled to begin in late October, offering public access to the heated swimming pool, basketball venue, and badminton facilities. Huang Li, head of the market development department at Hunan Tiancheng Bosen Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd., stated that the center’s management has already signed an intentional cooperation agreement with New Horizons to establish a literacy center on site, broadening extracurricular options for neighborhood youths. Meanwhile, outdoor amenities including tennis courts, an 11-player soccer field, and a non-powered children’s playground remain under active construction alongside planned tea, beverage, and light dining spaces.

Integration With 2029 Provincial Games Prep

The facility’s multi-generational blueprint incorporates a running track encircling the park grounds, a tennis center on the park plot, and dedicated indoor quarters for the senior university spanning the seventh through ninth floors of Block B, complete with calligraphy studios and multi-function halls. Tianxin District authorities position the facility as a regional cultural and sports comprehensive service center aimed at strengthening the urban sports infrastructure ahead of hosting the 16th Provincial Games in 2029. As the core host district, Tianxin aims to leverage the venue to expand grassroots athletic participation and reinforce its regional recreation branding.
