Caisse d’Épargne Donates €1,500 to Support Le Houga Judo Club

The Judo Club du Houga secured a €1,500 financial boost during a patronage evening that gathered local members, municipal representatives, and banking partners, according to regional reports. The gathering, hosted alongside the Caisse d’Épargne, highlighted the association’s ongoing development.

Financial Support from Caisse d’Épargne

During the special patronage event, club president Alain St Pé accepted a check for €1,500 presented by Aimé Desbarats of the Caisse d’Épargne. St Pé noted during his address that the club’s original bank account was opened at the Caisse d’Épargne branch in Nogaro when the club first established its modern iteration.

Rebuilding After Years of Dormancy

The Judo Club du Houga maintains a long athletic history in the region, operating out of a dedicated facility originally founded in the early 1960s. After entering a period of inactivity that lasted several years, the club successfully resumed its martial arts operations in 1985. Reflecting on the organization’s journey during the gathering, St Pé posed three guiding questions to attendees: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going? These questions frame an institutional philosophy centered on mutual support, with leadership emphasizing core values of cohesion and benevolence for all practitioners and instructors.

Expanding Community Diversity Through France Judo

Looking ahead, club leadership outlined strategic plans to broaden participation beyond traditional boundaries. St Pé stressed the objective of pursuing further diversity within the sport, coordinating closely with France Judo to attract new demographics to the tatami. The evening concluded with expressions of gratitude directed toward municipal guests, participating families, and banking representatives who continue to support the club’s day-to-day operations and regional presence.
