Arcieri dell’Elice Win Gold and Bronze in Regional Archery Events

Archer Gabriella Sasia claimed a gold medal in the women’s barebow master division at an interregional 3D archery tournament held on Sunday, Sept. 27, at the outdoor course in Villar Focchiardo, Piedmont. Organized by A.S.D. Arcieri Iuvenilia, the competition challenged participants across 24 nature-trail targets featuring unknown distances and animal silhouettes.

Archers Compete Across Piedmont Venues

The Villar Focchiardo 3D event drew regional competitors into a wooded course designed to test distance estimation and terrain shooting. In the women’s barebow master category, Sasia topped the podium with a gold-winning performance. Flavio Paradiso competed in the men’s barebow master division at the same venue, finishing mid-table in a competitive field.

Simultaneously, a separate outdoor target event took place on the same weekend in San Bartolomeo al Mare, Liguria, organized by local club Arc.San Bartolomeo. Marco Musto secured a bronze medal for the hosts in the senior men’s recurve division. In the cadet (allievi) men’s recurve category, Kevin Giordana earned the gold medal, while teammate Nicolò Parola added a bronze to the club’s tally after strong rounds.

Alberto Giordana took home the silver medal in the senior men’s barebow division following a standout display. In the men’s barebow master category at San Bartolomeo, Remo Sfondrini and Alberto Parola both finished their rounds in the middle of the standings.

Peveragno Municipality Honors Local Athletes

On Saturday evening, Sept. 26, the municipal administration of Peveragno recognized local athletes during the “3S-Sport, Serenity, Solidarity” awards ceremony held at the “A la Sousta” multipurpose center as part of the Weekend di Sport Peveragno event. Aurora Maria Tosello of Arcieri dell’Elice received an official civic award celebrating her dedication, training hours, and passion for the sport.

Tosello attended the ceremony alongside her coach and club president Gabriella Sasia, as well as club founder Francesco Galante. The annual recognition highlights athletes from Peveragno who represent the community in regional, national, and international competition.
