Tribute to Legend Ágota Bujdosó in Angyalföld

Prior to the opening whistle at the Fáy utcai sportcsarnok, the venue’s handball hall was officially named in honor of Ágota Bujdosó, who passed away in March last year at the age of 81, according to local reports. Bujdosó began her playing career in 1957 at the Angyalföldi Sportiskola before starring for Vasas. During her career with the club between 1972 and 1978, she won seven consecutive league titles, four Hungarian People’s Republic Cups, and earned a European Champions’ Cup (BEK) silver medal. At the international level, she earned 168 caps for the national team, collecting an Olympic bronze medal and two World Championship bronze medals.

Esztergom Dominates Mosonmagyaróvár as Budaörs and Szombathely Battle

Elsewhere in the NB I, Esztergom delivered a commanding 42–25 victory over Motherson Mosonmagyaróvári KC in front of 950 spectators, leading 19–15 at the break. Esztergom’s attack was powered by nine goals from Lea Faragó and seven from Fanni Horváth, alongside 15 saves by Lili Karalyos-Herczeg.
