UISP Day 2026: Sports, Nature and Outdoor Activities at Laghi Curiel in Campogalliano

The third edition of UISP Day will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Laghi Curiel in Campogalliano, transforming the natural wetland area into a massive open-air sports and environmental district, according to event organizers. Following successful run-outs at Modena’s Parco Novi Sad in 2024 and Carpi’s Piazza Martiri della Libertà in 2025, the Unione Italiana Sport Per tutti aims to engage athletes of all ages and abilities in a fully sustainable, zero-emission setting.

Water Sports Take Center Stage at Laghi Curiel

Unlike previous downtown iterations in Modena and Carpi, the Campogalliano venue introduces an expansive aquatic component to the festival. Along the shores and across the water bodies of the Secchia river park, participants can try sailing, windsurf, canoeing, kayaking, Stand Up Paddle (SUP), and the traditional dragon boat, alongside sport fishing. Uisp Modena has structured the venue into four distinct activity zones, offering both exhibition showcases and hands-on ‘prova lo sport’ (try the sport) sessions in total collaboration with local athletic associations.

An Inclusive 0-99 Sports Format

True to the foundational ‘0-99’ philosophy of the UISP Day initiative, the program caters to everyone from toddlers to seniors. Younger children can explore a dedicated play area managed by World Child and participate in environmental workshops organized by the Ente Parchi dell’Emilia Centrale and the Carabinieri Forestali. Meanwhile, the senior demographic can join guided walking routes overseen by the Uisp Modena Progetto Benessere team. The Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP) will also be on site with its #pertutti inclusive sports programming, ensuring adaptive options are woven throughout the event.

Partners, Sponsors, and Sustainable Logistics

The 2026 edition relies on a broad coalition of municipal and civic backers, including the Municipality of Campogalliano, Unione Terre d’Argine, the Museo della Bilancia, Comitato Laghi, Avis Campogalliano, and the Croce Rossa Italiana. Main commercial backing comes from title sponsor Effediesse, alongside Modena Terminal, Sinergas, Coop Bilanciai, Sideius, Cpl Concordia, Unipol, and Coop Alleanza 3.0. Organizers stress that the event remains entirely free of charge and operates as a plastic-free, zero-emission gathering.
