Spanish women’s basketball returns to domestic action this weekend with the opening of the Supercopa LF Endesa, running from September 26 to September 27 at the Pabellón Jorge Garbajosa in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid. Four clubs—Casademont Zaragoza, Valencia Basket, Innova-tsn Leganés, and Hozono Global Jairis—will compete for the first trophy of the new campaign, following Spain’s bronze-medal finish at the World Cup in Germany.
All tournament matches, including both Saturday semifinals and Sunday’s championship game, will be broadcast live and free of charge in Spain via Teledeporte and RTVE Play.

The field brings together top contenders from the previous domestic season. Innova-tsn Leganés qualified as the highest-ranked team from the CAM, Valencia Basket enters as the reigning Liga LF Endesa and Copa de la Reina champion, Casademont Zaragoza takes part as the league runner-up, and Hozono Global Jairis earned its spot as the Copa de la Reina runner-up.

Casademont Zaragoza enters the competition aiming to defend its title from the previous edition, though Carlos Cantero managed an atypical preseason marked by the absence of several players. The squad welcomes back American Nadia Fingall following her WNBA stint, though Ornella Bankolé remains unavailable while playing for the Toronto Tempo.
Valencia Basket faced similar preparation hurdles as multiple players participated in the World Cup in Germany. Jairis is entering its fifth season in the top national flight and its third straight year in European competition.
Jairis bolstered its roster over the summer with additions including point guard Sami Hill, guard-forward Marta Alsina, small forward Marie Mané, and power forwards Emily Bessoir and Jordan Hobbs.
