Stepping up to Nationale 3 places the Saint-Nolff squad against seasoned opponents who possess deeper rosters and extensive experience in higher-tier divisions. For a club historically accustomed to departmental play, the transition requires careful adjustments to training loads and travel schedules.
Club president Dominique Kiry explained the core philosophy for the team’s debut campaign at this level, stating that the primary target is to ensure survival in the division. Rather than chasing immediate championship aspirations, coaches are prioritizing player development, injury prevention, and competitive resilience against established regional opponents.
Schedule and Home Fixtures in Morbihan
The competition will officially begin on Saturday, September 19, with an away fixture for the Nolféens. Following their season opener on the road, Saint-Nolff will host its first home match on October 3. Out of the ten total matchdays in the championship, five will take place locally in Saint-Nolff, giving home supporters multiple opportunities to watch the team test its depth against regional rivals.
The confirmed home fixtures for Nationale 3 are scheduled for October 3, December 19, January 16, March 20, and April 3. Supporters and club officials will monitor these matches closely as the team adjusts to the pace and intensity of national competition.
Managing a significant budget and major events
Association leadership outlined a provisional budget of 62,500 € for the season, covering team travel, refereeing, competition organization, and equipment. Notably, the purchase of shuttlecocks alone accounts for a substantial portion of the projected expenses.
To sustain its operations, the club relies on membership dues, public subsidies, event revenues, and commercial partners. Dominique Kiry noted that the association remains actively engaged in searching for new financial partners to support its ongoing development and upcoming projects.
In addition to league fixtures, Saint-Nolff is organizing several major competitions. On October 10 and 11, the club will host the first leg of the national veterans circuit in Elven, part of a federal circuit spanning seven events across France. Later, on January 9 and 10, the club will host its major national tournament, which expects 600 competitors—an event described by leadership as one of the largest in Brittany by participant numbers.
