In video footage published on platform X by Łączy nas Piłka, Nawrocki addressed the team directly regarding his debut experience watching the national selection from the stands. “I am here for the first time as president at a football match, and I am very grateful that I could debut with you and enjoy this victory,” Nawrocki told the squad. Referencing his own amateur playing days, the president added, “I only played in the A-class, so I don’t compare myself, but you can always count on the Polish president.” Seeking permission from head coach Jan Urban, Nawrocki then led the players in a call-and-response chant typical of lower-tier Polish leagues, prompting the dressing room to answer with repeated shouts of “Polska!” and “Do boju, do boju, do boju Polacy!”
World Cup Qualifying Standing and Schedule
The victory leaves Poland with 10 points in their qualifying group, matching the point total of group leaders the Netherlands, though the Dutch side has played one fewer match, according to Przegląd Sportowy. Finland sits in third place with seven points, followed by Lithuania with three and Malta with two.
