El Club Pentarcos officially opened the indoor archery season in Teguise this past weekend. The club hosted the opening round of the regional Liga ATIRCA competition at its facilities adjacent to the local clay pigeon shooting range, according to regional reporting.

The 18-meter indoor tournament brought together competitors from Lanzarote-based clubs including La Flecha and Pentarcos. It also featured an archer who traveled specifically from Tenerife.
Canary Islands Circuit and Leaderboard Impact
Scores recorded during the Teguise opening fixture will feed directly into the broader Liga ATIRCA leaderboard. The circuit tracks archers across the Canary Islands archipelago.
While the opening round showcased local talent from Lanzarote, upcoming stages of the circuit will see participation from athletes representing various other islands in the regional federation.
Rapid Infrastructure Growth for Host Club
The organization was established just eight months prior to hosting the competition.
Leadership at Pentarcos noted that the young organization has spent its first months focusing heavily on establishing its infrastructure. It has worked on cementing its home venue in Teguise and building a foundational roster capable of supporting grassroots development and competitive play.
Podium Finishes and National Ambitions
Throughout its short history, the club has celebrated several competitive successes. Multiple athletes have secured podium finishes in Canary Islands regional championships as well as participating in national-level tournaments across Spain.
Organizers stated that the primary mission remains introducing the sport to residents of all ages across Lanzarote. They also aim to expand the footprint of competitive archery in the region.
