Tyler Tarabocchia, an American football influencer who viewed the pitch, described the conditions as unplayable. Tarabocchia noted that players during the historic first game in Brazil between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers frequently slipped across the surface, an issue compounded when Packers quarterback Jordan Love sustained an injury.

“We literally gave Brazil two years to improve it, and this is what they deliver,” Tarabocchia said regarding the preparation timeline.

Former ESPN host Trey Wingo urged leadership within both the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens organizations to intervene if athletes deem the playing conditions unsafe.
“Hold your ground. Push the NFL and see what it does. Player safety has to be the priority,” Wingo stated. “I’ll say this to the leadership of the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens: ‘If you truly believe there is a safety issue, hold your ground. Push the NFL and see what it does. If you don’t think the field is safe, say you aren’t playing.'”
