Nasr Al-Sayaghi has secured his place in the top 24 of the archery competition at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan, jumping more than 60 points past his previous international personal best to tally 507 points under the guidance of national coach Mohammed Al-Sayaghi.

Operating under coach Mohammed Al-Sayaghi, the competitor cleared the preliminary hurdles with a 507-point total. That performance moves him directly into the round of 24, where he is scheduled to face Uzbekistan’s Bekzod Boburajabov on Tuesday.

While the archery contingent advances, the national athletics squad concluded its schedule at the Asian Games following preliminary exits in middle- and short-distance events. Runner Abdullah Al-Hasouli competed in the 1500-meter heats, placing eighth in his series among an 11-runner field with a verified time of 3 minutes and 48.91 seconds. In the sprints, teammate Abu Bakr Baghouth wrapped up his 200-meter heat in sixth and last place, clocking a time of 22.32 seconds.

The national table tennis team also wrapped up its run in Japan following tough draws in both team and individual brackets. In the doubles category, the pairing of Majd Al-Dhabhani and Ibrahim Jabran faced China’s Rabio Men and Ping Yang, dropping the match 3-0. In the singles round of 32, Al-Dhabhani fell 4-0 to Hong Kong’s Baldwin Chan, while Jabran exited by the same 4-0 scoreline against Kazakhstan’s Alan Kurman Galiev.
