In the final, Quintero fell 144-145 to United States competitor Alexis Ruíz, securing the silver medal. In the men’s compound bracket, Sebastián García dropped his opening match 148-149 to Colombia’s Pablo Gómez. Rodrigo González advanced past the Netherlands’ Mike Schloesser through a golden arrow victory in his opening duel. Matías Grande opened the men’s recurve bracket by facing Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Mete Gazoz of Turkey, losing 4-6 in the quarterfinals. Alejandra Valencia advanced furthest among the Mexican recurve athletes. She defeated Italy’s Roberta Di Francesco 7-3 in the quarterfinals before falling 6-0 in her semifinal encounter, moving into the bronze medal match.
