The Latvian auto racing season concludes this weekend with the MANO Racing Weekend at the Biķernieku trases. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, the event brings together more than 80 competitors across time-attack trials, historic open-wheel racing, and a demanding 100-minute endurance race.
MANO Superlaps Season Finale on the 5.5-Kilometer Circuit
The day’s competition opens with the fifth and final round of the MANO Superlaps series, where organizers expect at least 40 entries to take the start. This event marks the single occasion during the season when Superlaps competitors utilize Biķernieki’s combined 5.5-kilometer layout, which links the circuit’s automobile track with its motorcycle loop. Class titles remain undecided heading into Saturday, creating intense competition across all street-car categories. Drivers participated in a dedicated test session on Friday, Sept. 25, to dial in setups for the combined configuration.
Historic Formula Cars Take the Auto Track
Open-wheel racing returns to the venue as part of the Estonian Historic Formula Championship. With 18 drivers registered for the season finale, the grid features representation from Latvian pilots who currently lead two of the three scoring classes. Raitis Mūrnieks holds a commanding lead in the Mondial class, while Valērijs Urbāns sits atop the Easter standings. In the Open category, Indulis Rukuts holds second place in the overall standings, guaranteeing local contenders in the hunt for class victories.
The 100-Minute Endurance Race Headlines the Afternoon
Action culminates in the afternoon with the MANO 100-minute endurance race, drawing 20 entered crews representing auto racing and other motorsports disciplines. Teams compete across seven distinct classes: ABC Race, V1600, VAZ, Volga, BMW 325 Cup, Race 2000, and Race 3500. Ričards Šubeckis and Uldis Timaks claimed overall victory in the BMW 325 Cup class during the previous year’s endurance event, following a win by Dmitrijs Gorņevs and Roberts Rode the year before that. Both crews return to the grid to compete against a fast field.

Spectator tickets are available in advance through Biļešu Serviss for 10 euros, with free admission granted to children under 12 years of age. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate on race day. Family amenities include free children’s attractions and food service provided by Kebab Factory.
