Shenzhen Middle School Students Excel at Municipal Badminton League Championships

A Multi-Divisional Showcase for Luohu Shuttlers

The municipal tournament brought together top youth badminton talent from across Shenzhen for a compact, highly competitive schedule. Deploying a unified squad spanning grades seven through nine, the Luohu Foreign Languages Junior High School badminton team combined cross-grade experience and depth to contend in singles, doubles, and team events.

Coached by Li Shiyu and Pan Long, the squad trained extensively during extracurricular hours, sharpening both technical execution and physical endurance. That preparation paid immediate dividends on the court, as players handled demanding elimination rounds and high-pressure tactical adjustments.

Standout Individual and Doubles Results

In the individual categories, several athletes broke through against formidable competition fields. In the Junior High Group C singles bracket, seventh-grade student Zhou Siyu employed a resilient, patient style of play, adjusting tactics dynamically through intense rounds to capture the second-place finish in girls’ singles.

In the Junior High Group B boys’ doubles tournament, the pairing of Tan Yuxuan and Huang Liwei executed a balanced approach of aggressive attacking and steady defensive coverage. After fighting through a series of demanding matches to reach the final, they secured second place in the Group B boys’ doubles division.

Additional podium and ranking finishes across the singles and doubles draws included:

• Group B Boys’ Singles: Lin Jiadi placed fourth.
• Group B Girls’ Singles: Liu Yichun secured seventh place.
• Group B Girls’ Doubles: Yang Ruihan and Lin Yingqing claimed second place; Ma Xiaoya and Hu Yuxi finished third; Li Jingxi and Zhu Shuang placed fourth.
• Group B Boys’ Doubles: Li Jingxi and Zhu Shuang captured fourth place (noted alongside team entries).
• Group C Boys’ Doubles: Kuang Dongkai and Dong Lixuan earned second place; Lai Wenyu and Liu Xinghe took third place.
• Group C Girls’ Doubles: Xiao Wanqing and Qiu Jingyi finished third.

Team Standings and Institutional Impact

Beyond individual success, the school’s collective depth propelled them up the tournament leaderboards. The Luohu Foreign Languages Junior High School delegation claimed second place overall in the junior high school team total standings.

In the gender-specific team brackets, the boys’ team secured a third-place finish, while the girls’ team captured fourth place overall. School officials noted that the results reflect the institution’s ongoing commitment to sports education, physical conditioning, and character development through competitive athletics.
