Liga Señal Colombia Basketball 2026-II: Schedule, Teams, and How to Watch

Opening night features a matchup between Paisas and Caribbean Storm at 8:30 p.m. local time inside the Coliseo Iván de Bedout in Medellín. The tournament runs through late November, concluding before the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers.

Format, Conferences, and Playoffs

The eight participating teams are divided into two distinct groups to determine the path to the postseason. Conferencia A includes Caimanes del Llano, Club Deportivo Motilones, Piratas de Bogotá, and the newly integrated Capitanes de Bogotá. Conferencia B features reigning champion Toros del Valle, runner-up Paisas, Caribbean Storm, and Sabios de Manizales.

The leader of each conference automatically advances to the playoffs. Meanwhile, the second- and third-place finishers enter a play-in round to secure the remaining postseason slots. Surviving teams advance to the finals through best-of-five series.

Venues and Team Changes

Matches will take place across venues in Medellín, Villavicencio, Cúcuta, Cali, Manizales, and Bogotá. Capitanes de Bogotá joins the league, playing home fixtures at the Coliseo Cayetano Cañizares while Piratas de Bogotá maintains its home court at the Coliseo El Salitre.

Cimarrones del Chocó will not participate in this edition due to the impacts of the August 11 earthquake. The Colombian Basketball Federation issued public statements expressing solidarity with affected families and communities across the Pacific coast, southwestern Colombia, and the Coffee Triangle.

Connection to FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

The domestic schedule aligns with the schedule of the senior men’s national team as it contests the FIBA World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers. Colombia currently sits fifth in Group E, pursuing one of the seven total qualification spots allocated to the Americas region. The top three teams in each group plus the best fourth-place finisher across Groups E and F advance.

The next international window takes place in late November, with Colombia hosting the Dominican Republic on November 27 and the United States on November 30.

Broadcast and Media Coverage

Public media network RTVC will broadcast games via Señal Colombia television, 74 frequencies of Radio Nacional de Colombia, and the Señal Deportes YouTube channel. Opening week coverage includes consecutive games between Paisas and Caribbean Storm in Medellín, followed by a midweek clash between Motilones and Piratas from Cúcuta, and Toros del Valle facing Caribbean Storm on October 2 at the Coliseo Evangelista Mora.
