The deal fell through when Dynamo Moscow determined that the 25-year-old player did not meet their internal medical standards, as confirmed by Flamengo in an official club statement issued on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports from Gazeta Esportiva and Bahia Notícias, the transfer fee had been set between 10 million and 12 million euros—translating to roughly R$ 60,1 million to R$ 72 million—with negotiations in their final stages before the medical setback.

Plata had traveled to Russia over the weekend, touching down at a Moscow airport where he was initially welcomed by the Russian club after bidding farewell to his Brazilian teammates. However, medical assessments flagged issues related to a right knee tendinitis that sidelined the player earlier in the Brazilian season.

Medical History and Recent Playing Time

The underlying concern stems from an injury sustained during the second half of the season. According to Gazeta Esportiva, Plata suffered from tendinitis in his right knee that kept him out of two specific fixtures: Flamengo’s league draws against São Paulo at the Maracanã and Internacional at the Beira-Rio.

Despite that physical setback, the forward had recovered sufficiently to feature in six subsequent matches for the Rio de Janeiro club. Those appearances included high-stakes outings such as the Copa Libertadores Round of 16 encounters against Cruzeiro. Immediate Reintegration Into Flamengo Squad
