FIFA Transfer Ban and Youssef En-Nesyri Dispute
Fenerbahce stated that the prohibition preventing the club from registering new players across the next three transfer windows stems directly from the fee agreement for En-Nesyri. The Moroccan international originally joined Istanbul in 2024 from Spanish side Sevilla for a reported fee of 19.5 million euros before transferring to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad in February. Sevilla subsequently lodged a legal complaint with FIFA to recover the remaining installment.
According to Fenerbahce, the club is awaiting the formal administrative decision from FIFA and intends to execute the required payment on the next business day, Monday. Management expects the governing body to lift the transfer restriction once the financial procedure concludes.
