Federation officials outlined differing schedules across local reporting outlets regarding the exact dates and venues for the multi-day competition. According to announcements released directly by Fedojudo, the competitions were slated for September 8–11 at the Handball Pavilion in Parque del Este, Santo Domingo.
Preliminary matches typically commence at 10:00 a.m. local time, with final block fixtures scheduled for the afternoon sessions.
Olympic and Continental Qualification Stakes
For senior competitors, the Pan American Open carries critical weight for international rankings and multi-sport games qualification paths. Federation disclosures highlight that senior bouts award ranking points toward qualification for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, while regional calendar updates also link subsequent open editions to the Lima 2027 Pan American Games and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
