While initial social media sleuths debated whether the viral images were poor artificial intelligence creations, USA Today confirmed that Matthews wore real prosthetics for the video components and did not undergo any actual cosmetic surgery. The 40-year-old former football player leaned directly into the joke, embracing what he referred to as the looksmaxxing phase
featuring a larger jawline and defined cheekbones.
