beIN Sports Secures French EuroLeague Rights
The EuroLeague is officially heading back to beIN Sports in France starting with the 2026-2027 season, according to reports detailing the new broadcast rights agreement.
Under the arrangement, beIN Sports will televise every game played by the two French clubs competing in the league, the Paris Basketball and ASVEL. The network will also broadcast a marquee matchup each round across the regular season, Play-In, playoffs, and the Final Four.
A Decade-Long Absence Ends in France
This development marks a significant shift in the French broadcast landscape for European basketball.
For beIN Sports, the agreement represents a return to a competition it last broadcast nearly a decade ago. Over the intervening years, domestic rights for the tournament shifted across several networks, including RMC Sport, La Chaîne L’Équipe, and most recently Skweek, which served as the primary broadcaster for the previous four seasons before financial difficulties disrupted its agreement with Euroleague Basketball mid-season.
Abu Dhabi Tip-Off and Opening Fixtures
The upcoming broadcast schedule is already taking shape ahead of the 2026-2027 tip-off. According to coverage of the announcement, beIN Sports plans to launch its European basketball coverage on Sept. 18 and 19 with the inaugural Euroleague Basketball SuperCup in Abu Dhabi.
Regular season action for the French sides begins on Sept. 24. Paris Basketball will travel to face Panathinaikos Athens, while ASVEL hosts Maccabi Tel-Aviv on home soil.
Streaming and Free-To-Air Alternatives
Beyond the exclusive matches covered by beIN Sports, fans will retain access to the remainder of the competition.
EuroLeague TV will continue to stream every fixture of the tournament live in France, alongside the EuroCup and the U18 NextGen Tournament. Additionally, reports indicate that First Team is slated to offer selected matches in free access, though exact match counts and broadcasting formats from that platform remain to be finalized.
Multi-Platform Viewing Options for Supporters
The multi-platform arrangement provides distinct viewing options for supporters as the competition approaches its autumn start date.
Fans looking to follow every single fixture can rely on the league’s official streaming platform, while traditional television viewers gain consistent access to the French contingent and top-tier weekly showcases on beIN Sports.
