beIN Sports served as a primary home for Spanish football in France, holding the Liga rights since 2012. However, the landscape of European sports broadcasting shifted when DAZN and Disney+ acquired those football properties, forcing the network to reassess its programming catalog. To shore up its multi-sports offering and retain subscribers, the network turned its focus heavily toward basketball.
According to We News, the broadcaster is banking on its newly expanded basketball slate to rebound from the football loss. The channel noted that it recently experienced its strongest audience share performance in eight years, providing a foundation of viewers it hopes to convert into long-term basketball loyalists.
EuroLeague Coverage Structure and French Club Integration
The centerpiece of the network’s European basketball return is a three-game weekly package for the EuroLeague during the 2026–2027 campaign. As reported by TV Sports FR, the network previously broadcast the competition between 2013 and 2017.
Under the terms of the agreement, beIN Sports will air every single regular-season fixture for France’s two participating EuroLeague clubs: Paris Basketball and ASVEL. In addition to the domestic team coverages, the network will feature a marquee matchup of the week involving other European powerhouses across its primary channels, alongside select playoff matchups and the complete Final Four tournament scheduled from May 28 to May 30, 2027.
The opening week of the regular season begins on September 24, 2026. Paris Basketball travels to face Panathinaikos, while ASVEL hosts Maccabi Tel-Aviv. French basketball fans will also be able to track numerous national team stars competing across Europe, including Guerschon Yabusele, Sylvain Francisco, and Mathias Lessort at Panathinaikos, Nadir Hifi with Paris Basketball, Matthew Strazel and Isaïa Cordinier at Anadolu Efes, and reigning Final Four MVP Evan Fournier with Olympiacos, per TV Sports FR.
Before the regular season tips off, the broadcaster will also air the inaugural EuroLeague SuperCup, taking place on September 18 and 19, 2026, in Abu Dhabi, featuring Real Madrid, Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, and Dubai Basketball.
Exclusive NBA Finals and Comprehensive North American Slate
Complementing its European club coverage, beIN Sports maintains its deep commitment to North American basketball. According to TV Sports FR, the network is broadcasting the NBA for its 15th year in France. The schedule features at least one regular-season game per day, Christmas Day showcases, Martin Luther King Jr. Day fixtures, the All-Star Weekend, the postseason, the Western Conference Finals, and exclusive French rights to the NBA Finals under a shared contract with Prime Video.
The channel’s basketball lineup also includes WNBA coverage and major FIBA tournaments. The network holds exclusive rights to the upcoming women’s world showcase in September 2026, followed by the men’s global tournament hosted in Qatar in 2027.

Analysis and commentary across the network’s basketball broadcasts will feature its established roster of journalists and consultants, including Rémi Reverchon, Xavier Vaution, Jacques Monclar, Frédéric Weis, and Chris Singleton, according to TV Sports FR.
The immediate broadcast window opens with the EuroLeague SuperCup in Abu Dhabi on September 18, 2026, leading directly into the regular season tip-off on September 24.
