The host nation’s roster features six archers, with four hailing directly from Coahuila: Matías Grande, Ana Paula Vázquez, Dafne Quintero, and Sebastián García. Carolina Acosta, Director of High Performance for CONADE, noted during the opening events that 60 percent of Mexico’s national archery selection originates from Coahuila, praising state leadership for elevating the region’s profile in the sport.
During the quarterfinal draw, Coahuilense archer Matías Grande was paired against Turkish Olympic and world medalist Mete Gazoz. According to reports from the venue, Grande faces the matchup without hesitation, viewing it as an opportunity to contest last year’s defeat in China. Another notable opening clash pits Mexican archer Andrea Becerra against world number-three-ranked Ella Gibson of Great Britain.

Official practice sessions take place on Friday, September 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time on the Plaza de Armas course with free public access, ahead of the medal rounds on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13. Competition for the compound discipline is scheduled for Saturday, running from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the men’s division and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the women’s division. Recurve finals follow the same morning and afternoon blocks on Sunday.
