Competing before local fans provides a distinct psychological boost for the Mexican delegation. Plaza de Armas in Saltillo will host the event, creating a direct connection between the athletes and the national audience.
“I am going to look for the back-to-back championship. I know that many things can happen, but I am clear that the Mexican public will support us a lot,” Becerra stated, according to Expansion Regional.
The World Cup Final features eight athletes per category across compound women’s, compound men’s, recurve women’s, and recurve men’s divisions. The tournament marks the official conclusion of the 2026 World Archery season.
Mexico’s Qualified Delegation
Becerra earned her qualification for the Saltillo event by winning the 2026 World Archery stage in Antalya. She will be joined in the compound women’s category by fellow compatriot Dafne Quintero, completing the two quota spots allocated to Mexico in that division.
“For us, it is very important that people get closer to our sport,” Becerra noted, encouraging fans to attend the matches on September 12 and 13 to support the national team.
