The opening sequence began 30 minutes before the scheduled 20:00 WIB kickoff between the Indonesian national team and Singapore. Indonesian pop artist Agnes Monica took the field alongside backup dancers, performing a three-song set for the stadium crowd.
Following the musical performance, stadium officials initiated a stadium-wide lighting blackout to transition into a fireworks show. Pyrotechnics were launched around the venue perimeter to mark the formal opening of the tournament matches hosted at the ground.
