Tadej Pogačar wears the red leader’s jersey as the race enters its third day. During Sunday’s second stage, Pogačar, Matthew Brennan, and the majority of the overall favorites finished together in a front group of 41 riders, establishing an early hierarchy at the front of the race.

However, the stage’s demanding finale caught several contenders out. Felix Gall, João Almeida, Matthew Riccitello, Luke Tuckwell, Jørgen Nordhagen, Cian Uijtdebroeks, and Jarno Widar ceded 18 seconds to the main group of favorites, altering the early time margins as the race hits its first mountain test.
