Caitlin Clark delivered a 37-point performance and Kelsey Mitchell added 30 points to lead the Indiana Fever to a 113-90 victory over the Chicago Sky on Sunday night, according to game reports from the Associated Press.
The win allowed the Fever to close out a 3-2 trip after playing their third game in four nights. Indiana had dropped two in a row prior to Sunday’s matchup. Clark shot a career-high eight 3-pointers, as the team converted a franchise record 18 shots from beyond the arc. Clark also contributed 10 assists to anchor the offense.
Indiana played without center Aliyah Boston, who was sidelined due to a right leg injury. Boston had recorded 22 points and six assists in Saturday’s 109-102 loss in New York. In Boston’s absence, other roster pieces stepped up to fill the scoring void alongside Clark and Mitchell.
Third-Quarter Breakout Powers Indiana
After a competitive first half, the Fever seized control of the game in the third quarter with a 13-2 scoring run that extended their lead to 71-60. Clark capped the decisive run with a jump shot with 4:31 remaining in the period.

However, the Sky could not overcome Indiana’s long-range shooting display. Lexie Hull added 14 points for the Fever, converting a reverse layup late in the fourth quarter to make it 97-82, while Makayla Timpson chipped in 12 points.

According to the Associated Press, the Sky were officially eliminated from the playoff race following this defeat combined with a victory by Washington on Sunday night. Chicago had entered the contest having won three in a row before running into an efficient Indiana attack.
Sunday’s matchup marked the first meeting between the two franchises since an August 8 game where Indiana guard Sophie Cunningham was taken down by DiJonai Carrington on a hard foul during the first quarter of a 90-86 Fever win. In Sunday’s rematch, Cunningham played more than 11 minutes and scored three points, while Carrington logged 18 minutes and scored seven points for Chicago.
