Offensive Core and Roster Additions
Brock Purdy remains firmly entrenched as the quarterback, entering the new campaign following a five-year contract extension signed prior to the previous season. Mac Jones and Kurtis Rourke round out the quarterback room on the initial roster. In the offensive backfield, Christian McCaffrey anchors the running game after earning the AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year award for his stellar performance. McCaffrey is joined on the depth chart by running backs Jordan James and Kaelon Black, alongside veteran fullback Kyle Juszczyk.
The wide receiver corps underwent notable transformations during the offseason. Wide receiver Mike Evans officially starts his tenure in the Bay Area after inking a three-year deal in March, bringing elite production to the perimeter. Meanwhile, Deebo Samuel returned to the franchise after spending the previous year with the Washington Commanders. Defensive Line and Front Seven Reinforcements
Defensive end Nick Bosa headlines the San Francisco defense, though he continues working his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee sustained during the prior season.
