TuS Bothfeld 04 e.V. confirmed the passing of its veteran member, highlighting a commitment that stretched far beyond the sporting mats. Although Schwartz did not actively practice judo himself, his dedication to the club’s judo department was defined by deep personal investment and sustained effort. According to statements, he served on the executive board as treasurer from 2011 to 2017, steering the club’s administrative and financial responsibilities with reliability and care. His involvement also extended into cooperation with the BSA, where colleagues relied on his steady hand.
“Klaus was over many years a shaping personality in our club,” the executive board and members of TuS Bothfeld 04 shared in a public notice. “We owe him a great debt of gratitude and will keep him in honorable memory. Our sympathy goes to his wife Irene and his entire family.”
