Culpepper’s path to the big leagues has moved at a rapid pace. Selected 21st overall in the 2024 MLB Draft out of Kansas State—where he became the first position player in program history to be picked in the first round—he quickly established himself as one of the organization’s cornerstone talents.

After earning the organization’s Minor League Player of the Year honors in 2025 following a standout campaign across High-A and Double-A, Culpepper carried that momentum into Triple-A St. Paul. In 74 games this season, he has posted a .271 batting average with an .845 OPS, 14 home runs, 31 extra-base hits, a 116 wRC+, and 17 stolen bases. After a brief, interrupted rehab assignment in late June, Culpepper returned to the Saints’ lineup on July 24 and has since found his groove at the plate, going 7-for-17 with three doubles and a triple over his final four games in Triple-A.
