Gora Camara, a Senegal-born center born in 2001 with established Italian basketball formation, arrives in Rome to anchor the paint with his physicality and rim presence. Arriving in Italy in 2017 to join Virtus Bologna’s youth sector, Camara quickly made his mark by winning the Most Valuable Player award at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in 2018. He subsequently broke into the professional ranks with Virtus Bologna, capturing a Supercoppa Italiana title along the way.
Over the following seasons, the 2001-born big man split time between Serie A and Serie A2, wearing the jerseys of Casale Monferrato, Victoria Libertas Pesaro, and Treviso Basket. Reporting indicates that during his most recent campaign with RivieraBanca Rimini, Camara averaged 10.8 points and 5 rebounds per regular-season game while shooting 59 percent from two-point range. On the international stage, he has become a regular fixture in the Senegal senior men’s national team setup, featuring in various FIBA international competitions.
Federico Bonacini Adds Perimeter Versatility
Federico Bonacini, a guard born in 1999, brings defensive intensity, scoring punch, and positional flexibility to the perimeter rotation. Developed in the youth system of Pallacanestro Reggiana, Bonacini made his senior debut for the club in both Serie A and the EuroCup before carving out a significant career across the Serie A2 landscape.
His journey through the second tier included stints with Rieti, Trapani, Piacenza, Ravenna, and Assigeco Piacenza. During the 2024–25 season with Assigeco Piacenza, he averaged nearly 10 points per contest, before logging 7.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists across 31 appearances for Gemini Mestre last term. Capable of handling multiple roles across the backcourt, Bonacini provides tactical flexibility for the coaching staff.
