Justine Boué captured the French national pony show jumping championship in the E2 1-meter category at Lamotte-Beuvron in Loir-et-Cher, according to equestrian reports covering the late July competition. The 33-year-old competitor trains out of La Croixille in Mayenne and secured the national title aboard her 1-meter category pony mount, Gin Fizz du Croissel, while representing the Élevage de Las.

The national championships draw competitive riders and coaches from across the country to Lamotte-Beuvron for what is widely considered the most anticipated gathering of the equestrian calendar. Competing in the E2 division, Boué and Gin Fizz du Croissel navigated their courses without a single fault across three rounds of jumping. According to stable management, the partnership delivered the competition’s only triple clear round performance to claim the gold medal.
“The course was made for them, they flew over the tracks and I had confidence in Justine and Gin Fizz,” said Céline Lascaud, the manager and coach at Élevage de Las. Lascaud noted that the victory capped an intense season marked by consistent podium finishes and rigorous preparation across multiple regional circuits.
A Partnership Years in the Making
The championship represents the culmination of years of dedicated training between the rider and her equine partner. Reflecting on the journey from the pony’s arrival at the stables as a young prospect to national champion status, Boué shared her perspective on the milestone. “I am so proud of our journey over all these years, to you the little pony who arrived in our fields at a year and a half old, here you are now French Champion,” Boué said.
The victory provides a fitting close to the current competitive campaign, but the stable’s leadership indicates that preparations for future challenges are already underway. Following the success in show jumping, Boué plans to transition into eventing for the upcoming season, aiming to tackle the multi-discipline format that combines dressage, show jumping, and cross-country competition.
