The “741 Frequency Fest” Draws Ten Thousand Fans

The 29-year-old guard spent ten seasons with the Boston Celtics and captured an NBA championship and Finals MVP award in 2024.

He organized the “741 Frequency Fest” through his brand, 741 Performance. According to accounts from Basket USA and BeBasket, the gathering drew an estimated 10,000 attendees and featured performances by musical acts including Lil Jon, Lil Baby, and A$AP Ferg.

Brown brought his 2024 championship ring to the stage, while the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy was passed through the crowd.

Mayor Michelle Wu Honors a Decade of Community Work

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu attended the event to honor Brown’s extensive community work throughout his tenure with the franchise, highlighting his investments in local classrooms, parks, and schools.

Wu and members of the city council presented the five-time All-Star with a plaque bearing the inscription “Jaylen Brown Way.”

Additionally, state Representative Christopher Worrell presented Brown with an honorary key on behalf of his district to recognize the player’s advocacy work within Black and Latinx communities.

An Emotional Goodbye Broadcast Live on Twitch

“When I got to this city, I said ‘I’m gonna go to war for this city,'” Brown told the crowd during a speech that was also broadcast live on Twitch, as reported by Basket USA and BeBasket.

“I met so many great people here, people that helped me in the community, that motivated me in my journey and supported me even when, sometimes, I didn’t support myself. I just want to say thank you to Boston. Thank you to the city. And I love you.”

Looking Ahead to January 2027 in Green and White’s House

Drafted third overall out of the University of California in 2016, Brown played his entire professional career in Boston prior to being dealt to Philadelphia in a blockbuster trade that brought Paul George to the Celtics. Over ten seasons in green, Brown established himself as a fixture of the franchise’s core alongside Jayson Tatum, culminating in their 2024 title run.

His return to TD Garden is officially scheduled for January 21, 2027, marking his first appearance back in Boston as an opposing player under his new team’s jersey.
