The Azzurri squad has been selected for the upcoming World Field and 3D Archery Championships in Yankton, United States. The global events will run consecutively, with the Field Championships opening the schedule from September 22 to 27, followed immediately by the 3D Championships running from September 27 to October 4.
Italy heads into the dual-championship fortnight as a dominant powerhouse in both disciplines. At the previous World Championships held in 2024, the Italian national team secured a combined total of 30 medals across the events, capturing the top spot in both respective Nations’ medal standings. Technical Director Giorgio Botto has shaped the rosters, incorporating a mix of seasoned veterans and rising talents across multiple bow divisions.
A Quadruple Threat Across Both Disciplines
Among the roster selections, four Italian archers have earned the double-duty distinction of competing in both the Field and 3D World Championships in Yankton. In the compound division, Michea Godano of the Fiamme Gialle faces a demanding two-week stretch of continuous competition. In the women’s barebow category, Eleonora Strobbe of Arcieri Altopiano Pinè and Cinzia Noziglia of the Fiamme Oro will take to the courses for both events. Noziglia arrives in the United States backed by her eight world titles across the two disciplines. Meanwhile, Giuseppe Seimandi of the Fiamme Azzurre handles the dual assignment on the men’s barebow side as another high-level specialist.
