Louis Lemke Makes History as Youngest Scorer
Hamburg added a third in the 50th minute through teenager Louis Lemke. Following another turnover in the Verl build-up, the 16-year-old unleashed a fierce left-footed strike into the far corner to establish the 3-0 final score.
With this strike, Lemke cemented his place in club history. Having made his first-team debut in May at 16 years and 214 days old, his first start in Verl—coming 106 days after his maiden appearance—made him the youngest goalscorer in the competitive history of Hamburger SV.
