Just a week after competing in the French TAE Elite Championships, athletes from Rueil STAR made an impact in the Pas-de-Calais. According to Rueil STAR, Fabien Delobelle and Sandra Hervé claimed two national titles for their club following strong qualifying rounds and precise match-play performances.
Fabien Delobelle opened his tournament by posting 415 points in the S2 Men’s Compound category during qualifications, as reported by Rueil STAR. He then advanced through the elimination brackets, defeating Ludovic Salard 103-91 in the round of 16, Olivier Luzzi 103-99 in the quarterfinals, and Stéphane Bourgeais 68-56 in the semifinals. In the gold medal match, Delobelle secured victory against Pierre-Julien Deloche with a 68-66 scoreline to capture the French championship title.
Sandra Hervé matched her clubmate’s success in the S1 Women’s Compound division. After scoring 406 points in qualifications, she defeated Adeline Dizier 94-91 in the quarterfinals and Juliette Tisserond 61-57 in the semifinals. Hervé clinched the national title by overcoming Lucie Jeannin 65-61 in the final match, capping off a run through the elimination bracket according to Rueil STAR records.
Issy-les-Moulineaux Contingent Earns Podiums and World Selection
Arc Club Issy-les-Moulineaux also experienced a successful outing at the Parc d’Olhain, sending three athletes who successfully cleared the qualification cut. According to Arc Club Issy-les-Moulineaux, Jennifer Devaux led the club’s efforts by finishing first in the S1 Women’s Classic category with a score of 355 points. Antoine Michon placed 10th in S1 Men’s Classic with 336 points, while teammate Antoine Le Bars took 10th in S1 Men’s Compound with 386 points.
In the head-to-head duels, Devaux advanced past the quarterfinals with an 86-71 victory before dropping her semifinal match 44-47. She rebounded in the bronze medal match, defeating her opponent 50-42 to finish third overall. Both Antoine Michon and Antoine Le Bars bowed out in round-of-16 matches, falling 83-84 and 97-104 respectively.
The performance from Devaux yielded an international reward. According to Arc Club Issy-les-Moulineaux, her bronze medal showing earned her an official selection to the French National Field Archery Team. She will represent France at the upcoming World Championships scheduled to take place in Yankton, United States, from September 22 to September 27, 2026.
