The basketball club FC Bayern Munich has signed American wing player MarJon Beauchamp for the upcoming season, adding a player with 155 games of NBA experience to their roster, according to reports by dpa, n-tv.de, and Süddeutsche Zeitung.

At 25 years old, MarJon Beauchamp makes the transition to European basketball after spending his professional career in the United States. During the previous season, the small forward appeared in 14 regular-season games in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers while also featuring for their development team, the Delaware Blue Coats. Across his career, he has logged the vast majority of his appearances with the Milwaukee Bucks.
“I won’t hide the fact that I see myself as an NBA player. But this step to Europe is part of my journey now, and I am really excited to play for Coach Anton and Bayern,” Beauchamp stated, as reported by dpa. “I want to prove my talent and learn every day how basketball is played in Europe – I am a fast learner, and I will prove that in every training session.”
Team Integration and Roster Timeline
The Munich squad is set to begin its official pre-season preparations on Friday of next week, giving the new arrival an immediate opportunity to integrate into coach Anton Gavel’s tactical system.
“We expect him to give us impulses on both sides of the court: in offense he can score and improve the team through his individual quality, plus in defense he can stay in front of his man with his size and athleticism – so he fits our concept perfectly,” coach Anton Gavel said regarding the acquisition.
