Daylight baseball bat and knife assault leaves man hospitalized in Foligno
An attack in Foligno left a 31-year-old Tunisian man hospitalized with a 30-day medical prognosis after he was beaten with a baseball bat and stabbed outside a local bar, according to local authorities.
The violent encounter unfolded in viale Firenze in Foligno, drawing the immediate attention of daytime passersby who called emergency services. According to local reports, the victim was suddenly accosted outside a commercial establishment by a group of four male compatriots ranging in age from 20 to 35.
Premeditated ambush on viale Firenze
Investigators examining the initial evidence noted that the assault appeared targeted and premeditated rather than the result of a spontaneous argument. The group reportedly cornered the 31-year-old before striking him repeatedly with a baseball bat. Following the blunt-force strikes, the assailants inflicted multiple stab wounds targeting the victim’s arms, hips, and lower body.
