Barito Putera Unveils New Squad and Coaching Staff for Liga 2 Campaign

PS Barito Putera has officially locked in its squad composition for the 2026/2027 Indonesian Liga 2 Championship season, introducing a blend of returning veterans, fresh signings, and promoted academy talent during a public gathering at the Mahligai Pancasila Building in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

The club unveiled its roster for the upcoming campaign on a Saturday night in an open ceremony attended by management, supporters, local community figures, and regional government representatives. According to local reporting, club owner Hasnuryadi Sulaiman led the proceedings, calling players and coaching staff forward one by one to sign their contracts in plain view of the fans. Management noted that this open-signing format was chosen to emphasize shared responsibility between the players and the club’s supporters as Laskar Antasari pursues promotion back to the top tier of Indonesian football.

New Signings and Returning Faces

Barito Putera’s roster construction features 10 new additions alongside 18 players retained from previous campaigns. In the goalkeeping department, Nur Khalid extended his contract, while Riki Pambudi arrived from Persiku Kudus. The club also promoted Muhammad Nur Hasnuryadi directly from the Elite Pro Academy U-19 squad. Midfield and attacking depth received boosts with the arrivals of Muhammad Hidayat, Muhammad Dwi Rafi Angga, Nugroho Santoso, Gustur Cahyo Putro, and Rahma Niko. Dendy Agustan also rejoined the team after a stint competing in Liga 1.

Coaching Staff Continuity

On the touchline, head coach Hendri Susilo signed a new contract to continue leading the squad. Isnan Ali remains on staff as assistant coach, joined by new arrivals Miftahul Hadi as goalkeeping coach and Yuliansyah Reva as physical trainer. Frans Sinatra extended his tenure as technical director. Miftahul Hadi praised the public signing format, stating that conducting contracts openly gives players an immediate sense of moral obligation and extra motivation heading into the season.

Chasing a Return to Liga 1

The primary objective for Barito Putera this season is securing promotion back to Liga 1. Hasnuryadi Sulaiman emphasized that the roster management aims to bring pride and joy back to the people of South Kalimantan through competitive performances.
