Saints head coach Kellen Moore addressed the developing situation during a Wednesday afternoon interview on WWL Radio. Describing the strange nature of the play, Moore noted that no other players collided with the lineman.
“No one kind of ran into each other; no one fell on anyone. It was just kind of a goofy deal where obviously something unfortunately happened and so it took a little bit, I think, for him to realize what it felt like. It felt like a little bit of something and then once they checked it out, obviously we’ll continue to finalize all that, but it doesn’t look great.”

If ongoing diagnostic tests and magnetic resonance imaging confirm the initial fears, Bresee will face placement on injured reserve, ending his campaign prematurely.
